The collection of location data

Location services tracking

Besides advertising ID, users can choose to grant permission for geolocation data collection as well. Below please find the screenshots for both iOS and Android systems. For more information about iOS geolocation data collection, please reach out to Apple's official website HERE. As for Android system, please reach out to Google Support HERE.

iOS

For iOS, the first time an app tries to access your location, a pop-up window will show to explain which App is asking for permission to use your location as well as the reason for requesting it. Users can also simply turn Location Services on or off via Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services. In this session, users can control which apps and/or system services have access to geolocation data. When Location Services are off, Apps can't use your location in either the foreground or background.

If Location Services is on, users can choose to grant location access to certain Apps.

When granting the location access, users can choose if precise location is granted.

If Location Services is off, no Apps are able to access user's location information.

Android

For Android users, you can also simply turn Location Services on or off via Settings -> Location -> App location permission to click Apps that you want to set and then adjust the location access. When the "Don't allow" option is selected, Apps will not be able to track and use your location data.

If Use location is on, users can choose to grant location access to certain Apps.
